Leading With Conviction

Yesterday I spent the day with Paul Berthiaume, pastor of Jacob's Well Church in Eau Claire.    Paul talked a great deal about leading by conviction rather than leading by people pleasing.   I am still processing what Paul talked about during the day.

Paul shared with us that building on vision is much more important than giving way to strong opinions.   I sense in so much of my ministry that I have given in to people to make peace rather than provide strong leadership.    The place I was serving suffered because I did not lead with conviction.

I see that Jacob's Well has continued to grow over the years and has seen hundreds of people come to Christ.    The leadership being provided by their leaders is seeing many lives changed.  My prayer is that I will see their example and put it into practice.
